IT reseller and service provider Kanoo Ltd has just announced that it has signed an exclusive worldwide distribution agreement with network vendor New Market Systems. The agreement will see Kanoo market the full range of Newksys products to their global customer base.
NewkSys is dedicated to providing low cost, alternative solutions to networking products and accessories. They produce OEM products which are intended to be used in place of expensive top brand products. The product range is designed to be compatible with the market leading devices, in particular Cisco, HP, 3Com, Nortel and Extreme. Currently the core product range focuses on the fibre optic converters market, providing GigaBit Interface Converters (GBICs) and Small Formfactor Pluggable (SFP) modules.
Kanoo CEO Richard Brinson stated "We are delighted to have been chosen as the global distribution partner for NewkSys. Our Technical Services division has been managing their internal IT systems for some time which has given us a complete understanding of the company ethos, positioning ourselves as the obvious choice to lead their channel sales. This new commitment from them means that we can now invest resources to work closely with their R&D teams, allowing us to have vital input on new product development. NewkSys are almost ready to begin production of the world's first Cisco compatible WAN interface cards, which we hope to start marketing to the industry early 2007.
